Gold, perspex and mirror earring measuring 8.5cm in length.
Eve Ray’s latest collection ‘Schiaparelli and the Sea’ is inspired by the work of surrealist Italian designer, Elsa Schiaparelli and designer Maeve Barry’s love of the ocean. A recent trip to the Elsa Schiaparelli exhibition in Paris showcased her surrealist accessories – including body parts, everyday objects, using mix metal of gold and silver – from the start of her career to the current designs by Daniel Roseberry. Combining this witty and dramatic use of objects as jewellery, and a love of the sea – in particular growing up next to Banna Strand in County Kerry – and taking the mix of metal tones that shape the sand, the ‘Schiaparelli and the Sea’ was created.
These gold soft shell clay and mirror perspex drop earrings are designed and made in the eve ray studio in Dublin. Lightweight earrings with a nickle free clasp back for pierced ears – sourced in Paris – with a gold mirror perspex top and clay drop shell design.
Earring measures 8.5cm in length.
